Role/activity of organisation in the project
JRC is the leader of the subproject (SP) two, that aims to verify the toxicity and biocompatibility of NPs. Moreover, it is involved in biodistribution studies in the framework of SP six
The JRC is testing the basal cytotoxicity of NPs by means of the Colony Forming Efficiency assay on selected cell lines and by means of the viability assay Alamar Blue. Nevertheless, it is testing the interaction of the NPs with the cell culture medium to verify their stability in contact with biological environments.
